Mega Drive VR — Sega Genesis emulator as a 3D CRT diorama

Mega Drive VR is a real Sega Mega Drive / Sega Genesis emulator (Genesis Plus GX, compiled to WebAssembly) that runs entirely in the browser. Instead of a flat picture, it takes the console's VDP graphics layers — Plane A, Plane B, the Window plane and the sprites — and separates them into depth-stacked planes inside a 3D CRT television, so the parallax scrolling you remember becomes actual 3D depth.

It works on a normal screen and in VR headsets via WebXR (Meta Quest and other WebXR browsers). Load your own Mega Drive ROM (.md, .bin or .gen) from any device — nothing is installed and nothing is stored. Part of VRCADE.
